Tumblr and YouCanBook.Me are two free, online resources that can improve library services. Tumblr, a microblogging social media platform, both aids in the finding of new items to buy for a library while also creating a way to promote your collections. YouCanBook.Me, an online-scheduling tool, syncs with Google Calendar and lets students easily schedule appointments with librarians.

Sarah Lawrence College Reference Librarian Gina Levitan and Music Librarian Charlotte Price have been using these resources and, as part of the SUNYLA 2015 Conference, created guides for librarians to set up and begin using Tumblr and YouCanBook.Me on their own.
